Leaving on a jet plane

Sorry, I've been guilty of not keeping this up to date but me & Steph have been ridiculously busy with trying to sort out things with the DMV and the Social Security people.

However, I thought I'd just write a note about our last day in Yate. Steph had a final coffee morning arranged with all her girlfriends to say goodbye. So we all (me, Steph and the kids) went 'round to Tracey's to say 'bye', have a coffee, have few scrummy cakes, etc.

It is fair to say that there were a lot of tears and ultimately I did feel like the only guy caught in the middle of a few scenes from 'Steel Magnolias'. Lots of tears and the whole thing only lightened by Jo's observation, "I think I may have put my pants on inside-out" !!

A pretty traumatic final day in Yate, which was followed by two weeks of hellish frustration and stress when we got over here. Things are settling down now and I'm back to work. This weekend saw us have a meal out on Friday with a colleague from work, followed by me cooking at the weekend when another colleague came 'round for the Saturday night.

So, things getting better. And I should have a chance to write a few more posts to the blog now. Hurrah!
